چکیده

A field experiment was conducted at Cotton Research Station, Nanded (M.S.) India during kharif season of 2019 and 2020 to study effect moisture conservation practices fertilizer levels on earliness Bt cotton under rainfed condition. The trial with hybrid NHH 44 (BG II) in split plot design replicated thrice. Four treatments (M1- flat bed, M2- opening furrow 60 DAS, M3- application superabsorbent @ 12.5 kg ha-1 M4- broad bed furrow) were evaluated main along four NPK (F1- 80:40:40 ha-1, F2 - 100:50:50 F3 -120:60:60 F4 140:70:70 ha-1) sub plot. (BBF) practice found have significantly higher seed yield (1369 per cent share the total 58.58 first picking over control. However, recorded more (1125 its 47.97 second picking. Seed increased practices. BBF respect various indices (Bartlett’s index, combined day fraction mean maturity date index production rate index) followed by other bed.
Fertilizer didn’t affect Higher being significant lower for picking; showed delayed crop based indices.

The Halo Effect: Suppression of Pink Bollworm on Non-Bt Cotton by Bt Cotton in China

In some previously reported cases, transgenic crops producing insecticidal proteins from Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) have suppressed insect pests not only in fields planted with such crops, but also regionally on host plants that do not produce Bt toxins. Here we used 16 years of field data to determine if Bt cotton caused this "halo effect" against pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella) in s...

Fiber Properties and Carbohydrate and Nitrogen Levels of Cotton Plants as Influenced by Moisture Supply and Fruitfulness.

As distinct from the cereal crops and the spring-flowering fruits, which are characterized by a reproductive climax, cotton is like the tomato and cucurbits in its indeterminate growth; but it is different in the minor extent to which fruit size is influenced by environment and fruitfulness. In a regional variety study (3), 16 varieties of cotton planted during each of three years at eight loca...

Fitness of Bt‐resistant cabbage loopers on Bt cotton plants

Development of resistance to the insecticidal toxins from Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) in insects is the major threat to the continued success of transgenic Bt crops in agriculture. The fitness of Bt-resistant insects on Bt and non-Bt plants is a key parameter that determines the development of Bt resistance in insect populations. In this study, a comprehensive analysis of the fitness of Bt-resi...
